A note to all who read The Garb Wire feverishly, every time we have some silly observation to share. As I suspected earlier this year (in 'Laying Down Leggings Law' http://www.thegarbwire.com/2008/11/laying-down-leggings-law.html), I was correct in assuming that it was Supre's fault that we are now subjected to girly girls sashaying around Melbourne streets (read: public space) in denim tights.
I pose this question to you all...
If they look bad on a mannequin, what hope do real women have of pulling off this look?

The ones pictured are bad, but at least the pockets look real. I have seen leggings with stitching and pockets PRINTED on. And slightly too loose aswell.
Not appealing.
Ah yes, I could not quite believe my eyes this morning when I saw a tram covered in billboards heralding the arrival of FAUX DENIM. People, this is Fauxtrocious. "No, no, that wasn't a question"
